I've got five weeks until my first race, and Jim Thomas of Texas already has a podium under his belt. Those folks at sea level have got it made for early season racing. Congrats, Jim!!!

Aw, man, that sucks about the snow! We have more coming here, too... Good thing I left the studded snow tires on the car and the trainer set up in the living room. :)
The gold cap is a limited edition, I think; I got it because I wrote a story about the Golden Bike Series for Mountain Flyer Magazine. Speaking of which, you're racing the Firecracker, right?

Are you considering racing Mountain States' Rabbit Valley ?
I think I will do Rabbit Valley. My fitness isn't the greatest yet do to my back injury, but it should be really fun to do nonetheless. Are any of the other DC riders going to be there, do you know? We'll have to see how many tents the promoter will let us put in the hot zone. :)

We can do one GT Dirt tent and trade off duty. Most likely I'll be camping out there.

Ooh, nice steerer cap. I wish I found this before last weekend. I was witht he Golden Bike folks and coulda begged one off them. Thanks for the shout out, and good luck to you all. Our last spring race is next weekend. Then we hibernate for the summer and start back up in September...
